MAIMUN PALACE


Maimun Palace is one of the iconic city of Medan. It is the capital of West Sumatera province. More precisely located on Jl. Brigjen Katamso Medan city, village Sukaraja, Medan Maimun district. Maimun Palace built in the reign of Sultan Ma'mun Al Rashid Mighty Alamsyah, the ruler of the Sultanate of Deli from 1873 to 1924, which is the Sultan of Deli to-IX and designed by Italian architect. Maimun Palace has a unique interior design. That's what makes Palace Maimun always visited by tourists. Maimun Palace has 30 rooms with an area of ​​2772 m2. In the Palace there is a very wide page. In addition there is a sacred piece of an old cannon. According to a Malay legend Deli, pieces of this gun is the incarnation of the fictional Mambang, younger brother of the Princess of the Kingdom of the Green Deli Tua, who transformed himself into a cannon as a final effort to defend the invasion of Palace of the King of Aceh which was devastated and angry because her application was rejected by lady Green.
