Mosque Baiturrahman

Baiturrahman Mosque is a mosque in the center of Banda Aceh. This mosque was once a mosque of the Sultanate of Aceh. When the Dutch attacked the city of Banda Aceh in 1873, this mosque was burned. To reduce anger Dutch Acehnese rebuild a mosque as his successor in 1875 which stands majestically at the moment. This single-domed mosque and was built on December 27, 1883. The mosque was subsequently extended to 3 dome in 1935. Last expanded again to 5 dome (1959-1968). This mosque is one of the most beautiful mosques in Indonesia which has a nice shape, carving an attractive, large yard and feels very cool when the room was in the mosque.

In general, modern mosque was built with materials such as tiles for the roof, walls of red brick walls, floors or ceramic tiles.
