Garuda Pancasila

Garuda Pancasila is the emblem of the Republic of Indonesia. In the Garuda Pancasila are the symbols of truth on which to base any action of the Indonesian nation. Pancasila was designed by Sultan Hamid II of Pontianak which is then refined by President Soekarno. Is the basic ideology of Pancasila and the Republic of Indonesia. Pancasila word comes from two Sanskrit words of the Panca Sila means five and meaningful basis.

In the Garuda Pancasila are the symbols that have meaning. Shield on the chest of bird Garuda Indonesia symbolizes the nation's defense. Red and white flag on the shield symbolizes Indonesia. The Shield emblem is a symbol of the interpretation and content of Pancasila.

In the Garuda Pancasila Pancasila are symbols that are the foundation of Indonesia. Which means the star Belief in God Almighty, is the picture of the first principle. Chain, which means just and civilized humanity, a description of the second precept. Banyan tree, which means the unity of Indonesia, is a picture of the third precept. The bull's head which means the Populist Who Led by Representative Consultative Wisdom, is a picture of the four precepts. Rice and cotton, which means social justice for All People Indonesia, is a picture of the five precepts.

The number of feathers on the wings of birds Garuda Pancasila is 17. The number of feathers on the tail of the Bird Garuda Pancasila is 8.
